Serenading the Demons was created to remember & document the Life and Music of John Bartee. Some of John's work is here for you to get an idea of his ability as a Composer & Arranger.

Prior to 2003 when I finally located the physical John in Gallup, New Mexico I don't believe any music historian, writer or radio DJ was aware of who John Bartee was. Yet they had seen his name on the albums they played, noted his name in the books, articles & thesis papers they have written. All the while never looking into who the man was.

This site is dedicated to all the overlooked talented individuals of the Music World, it's a home for those that passed on too young, or time & life has taken the memory of their contribution to Music from us.

Serenading the Demons... is not just about John's Music it's about all the Music that surrounds us in Life. That brings us comfort & joy. Allows us the memories of people & places in our Journey.

That is... The Music of John Bartee

Co-Producer, Jeff E. Winner has created a great Website, RaymondScott.Com which has educated me over many years of the great accomplishments of Raymont Scott. DVD Available
"There was a period which I refer to as the 'Golden Age of Jazz,' which sort of encompasses the middle Thirties through the Sixties, we had a lot of great innovators, all creating things which will last the world for a long, long time."

"Even if I didn't make money, I would still play my horn."

Sonny Rollins
